What We Do Chari-teas was started to support needy children. For now, our focus is in Colombia where we are concentrating our efforts on helping families who are struggling with AIDS. Since February of 2010, when the father of a Colombian family passed away, we have been buying the groceries for Grandma and her four grandchildren (three of whom are HIV positive). When Dad passed away (Mom passed a few years ago), they were left without an income and there is no assistance from the Colombian government. We’ve also set three widows up in business so they can support their children and have twelve others who are waiting for assistance. There’s a great big teapot on the table that collects change from anyone who would like to help. A GREAT BIG THANKS to all our customers - it‘s because of you that this is happening!!
